HELLO FELLOWS!

Ummmm... a (very) last-minute change to my presentation is taking place. I have decided to ever-so-slightly change my presentation subject just a liiiiittle bit towards the topic of Gargamel's Plan of Attack on the Smurfs!.... ......Just kidding!

On a serious note, while finishing up my PowerPoint editing, I have come to notice how minimal my presentation focuses on lighting. I have an abundance of sound production information that I still need to filter down, and just a few tidbits of what candles and gas did for theatre.

Hmmmmm, it seems much more like a successful sound production history presentation rather than what I was intentionally aiming for, so, I am going to run with it.

This Final Week

Hello my fellow classmates, teacher, and blog readers. I am currently moving forward on the PowerPoint presentation, finding very little to share in 3-D form. Just recently, I have been asking local theatres where I can possibly rent or borrow vintage non-electric sound foley or lighting instruments. Understandably, most theatres don not keep such gear; well worth asking though. If time allows it, I hope to build a few small-scale and simple devices, ones that are easily made with common objects.

My goal for this week: At LEAST provide a presentation with PowerPoint projection. To accomplish this goal, I need to finalize the presentation slides, and script dialogue for it. ADDITIONALLY, I would like to have three or four simple sound and / or lighting devices.

What may get in the way: FINALS!!!! Another big presentation lands on that same day for me in sound studio. Thank God it is only an 8 minute presentation with a group of four, but still holds a demand for time over this weekend.

What can I do to overcome this obstacle?: Do my best!...yet, stick to the calandar!... also adding: DO NOT PANIC!!!!

What would I like to discuss in seminar today? If there is time, what I have stated here.
